The beds were comfortable however quite low and, as an oldie, not the easiest to get out of.

The location is very good, the train and buses are a 5 minute walk and you are surrounded by restaurants and a supermarket closeby and it is a very short walk to views over the harbour. A very minor thing, the cups are so small for having a tea or coffee!

"We loved the view from our eco friendly and very well appointed self contained place - we could see the sea and were surrounded by trees, flowering plants and birds. We liked being a short walk downhill to the village of Castara with grocery shops, places to eat local food and entertainment. Bars on the beach were very friendly. We loved getting a boat to nearby coves and snorkelling. Paradise for us!"

The fairly stiff walk back from the village is fine as long as you don't rush. The Castara Retreats Restaurant serves lovely fresh fish caught locally but wine as you might expect is eye wateringly expensive. Try Stag beer instead and even that is twice as expensive as in the village.
