"Friendly staff. Popular hotel used by locals and visitors for swift and attentive service for drinks and meals alfresco and inside in the hotel restaurant. Food was delicious. We enjoyed a quiet and clean room with a very comfortable bed. Staff provided a clothes airer so that we could dry cycling kit washed at a local launderette. Our bicycles were securely stored during our stay. As for our car, we were directed to a free car park within a short walk from the hotel. There are numerous cycling routes from Poperinge and road links are very good for driving to neighbouring towns and cities. The Hotel Amfora is situated in the corner of a quaint town square with bars/restaurants, small supermarket, pharmacy, opticians, various other shops, historic Talbot House and a Hop Museum. A train station is nearby."

"We stayed for 10 nights and would find it difficult to fault the hotel. A small fridge in the room might have been a bonus, but we know that the staff would have done all they could to accommodate our wishes if we had aired them. No complaints from us!"

"The hotel is lovely. Location was superb. Smack in the city centre. Walkable distance from the Poperinge train station. Breakfast was very good. Across the hotel is a cafe with good halal food. Staff were very nice, made us felt welcome. Will definitely stay here again if we visit in the future."

"We love this hotel, for the central position in the lovely town of Poperinge, for its charme and the kindness of its staff, for the excellency of the restaurant. This time we have been given a room in the new wing of the hotel, even more comfortable for the presence of a lift."

"The only thing that leaves a little bit to be desired is the bathroom, divided in two separate rooms: the one with the WC should also provide, in our opinion, a little wash-basin, or a bidet."
