The Alcantara Hotel is located in the centre of Tournai. At the gateway to the historic heart of the medieval city, the building is surrounded by cobbled streets and traditional Tournai architecture. Housed in two 200-year-old buildings, the hotel offers all the comforts of a hotel in a warm atmosphere with a ‘home away from home’ feel. Ideally located, leave your car in the car park and enjoy the centre of Tournai on foot. Choose your parking solution: - Esplanade de l'Europe, located a 5-minute walk from the hotel, this large car park is completely free and easily accessible from the boulevards. - Q-Park ‘Fort Rouge’, located on the hotel's street, a 1-minute walk away, this underground car park offers you the convenience of a city centre car park at a rate of £10/24 hours. Indulge in our continental breakfast buffet with sweet and savoury hot and cold options, including pastries, juices, hot drinks, homemade cakes, bread, fruit salad, cold meats, cheese and the famous English breakfast with bacon and scrambled eggs. Breakfast hours: Monday - Friday: 7:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. Saturday - Sunday: 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Close to major roads and the train station, make the most of your stay to explore the region. Between Lille, Kortrijk, Ghent, Bruges, Brussels, Ypres, Arras and many others, you'll be spoilt for choice when it comes to extending your stay with us. Our reception opening hours vary depending on the time of year, but even when it is closed, a telephone hotline ensures that our guests can still contact our staff. Guests can arrive at any time thanks to our self-service check-in system. Check-in is from 3 p.m., but you can free up your hands and mind by dropping off your luggage at the hotel reception from 8 a.m. Reception hours: Monday - Friday: 7:00 am to 11:00 am and 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm Saturday: 8:00 am to 8:00 pm Sunday: 8:00 am to 4:00 pm The provincial tax for your stay is not included in your rate. This must be paid on site on the day of your arrival: €1.63 per adult per day.

"Central location, with stunning view of bell tower and pretty courtyard from our room ('Monet'), into which we were kindly allowed to check in an hour early due to rain. Complimentary teas and coffee, plus croissants and biscuits (left over from breakfast) rather than hospitality trays on our room - the hotel has great eco-credentials. Unusual retro style (brown 1950s/60's wood) with black and white film stills on the walls. Good breakfast included in room rate - fresh orange juice and homemade tray bakes stood out. Large fluffy towels."

"We had the large bedroom at the front of the property which was very spacious and well appointed. Delicious breakfast with all fresh produce and many homemade by the owner. Fab, quiet location just outside town which has many places to eat in. Owner is very attentive and even moved his car so we could park a large van. Highly recommend to all and if we are ever back in the area would will be staying again. Claire x"
