Verne Dreams offers uniquely decorated Boutique-style suites in the centre of historic Gent only 500 metres from the Belfort. Verne Dreams is not a bed and breakfast like any other. Located at the entrance to the historic heart of Ghent, a stone's throw from Saint-Bavo Cathedral, it does not fail to surprise with its rooms dedicated to cities from around the world, arranged like in a dream, with its decor inviting escape and fantasy. Moreover, to the usual definition of bed and breakfast, its owners prefer the term Bed and Experience: a place that awakens the senses, nourishes the imagination and invites you to travel like in a Jules Verne novel. Verne Dreams is only 350 metres from the Saint Bavo Cathedral. The Alijn House and the Design Museum are within a 10-minute walk of the property. Bruges is less than 45 minutes’ drive away.

"We had a great stay, the decoration and style is amazing, the staff is friendly and it was a very quiet room with double windows to eliminate the noise from the street outside. Location is great too."
"The door of the toilet was not shutting, making this private time not too private. It was also non see-through glass but still you felt a bit exposed."
"That's definitely a designers little dream. All the little details are amazing and we almost felt no need to go out. But Ghent itself is such a marvellous place that we couldn't just sit on the original Togo and listen to a truly HiFi system. The location is great to reach everything in walking distance. Our host came to check us in and show us everything. Unknowingly we came during the film week and the town was full and parties were going on everywhere. It was an amazing atmosphere."
"At arrival we learned that we had to pay 50Eur extra for the second bed. Our booking however, clearly stated two bedrooms, instead were charged 50Eur for parking our motorcycles in one private parking bay behind the house since the nearby public parking garage would not accept motorcycles. This was absolutely unnecessary and disappointing especially since we had to wait 20 minutes next morning until we could get our bikes out again. It was sheer luck that we made it to the ferry in time."

"The Shanghai suite is a really funky room, very well themed throughout, it’s a really large space, great comfy bed, sofa, bath and huge shower wet room , and private courtyard with a hot tub. Amazing. Host Vincent was really friendly and helpful."
"Just for our preference, we would have preferred a kettle in the room rather than in a shared kitchen and the toilet whilst private didn’t have a separate door but many wouldn’t mind that. Overall a brilliant venue."

"Not entirely clear in the general hotel description that the spa bath is just in a specific room (as it wasn't available on the dates, the "suite with spa bath" didn't appear as a room option so, seeing it in the pictures, we assumed that it was a shared facility). Not a big deal, but I'd recommend to make this more clear"
