"It's a beautiful property- the room and facilities were great. The dinner was delicious and extremely generous- Rum and wine included as well. Breakfast had some nice continental options and I especially enjoyed the herb tea. The host was wonderful- I don't speak French but was very easy using google translate. She gave great instructions for arrival. She also looked after me as and made sure I got to the start of my hike safely- she asked another couple to drop me at the trail on their way to Marla after she realised I was going to walk up the windy mountain road! If you are getting a bus there is also a stop right outside- although take care to plan as the buses don't run frequently."

"Amazing place! Spotless room with a balcony and a truly breathtaking view. Delicious breakfasts every day. The owners are incredibly kind and helpful, always happy to assist and organize activities. Kayaks available for guests. The bay is just a short walk away, making the location perfect. Absolutely loved our stay — highly recommended!"

"The host, Andrae was super friendly and helpful, I was able to check in a bit late, he also organised an early morning taxi for me to get to the airport. The location is great, right in the middle of Philipsburg and just minutes walk from the beach. You're surrounded by restaurants and shops. Price was excellent."

Room and amenities are simple, but for this price and location you can't complain.

"We stayed here in September after walking the Arctic circle trail. We were faster than expected, so we contacted the owner as soon as we arrived in town. He immediatly told us we could stay at the house and came to pick us up in 10min to bring us there. It is a bedroom in his home and he immediately made us feel very welcome. We had space in the fridge, the entire kitchen available and we were allowed to use the washing machine to clean all our stuff. The WiFi was also excellent. The host was very friendly and taught us lots about Greenland, Inuit culture and history and the surrounding area. He also offered to take us on a boat trip to the ghost village (at a much better rate than any other provider). All in all a great place to stay!"

As we were staying in someone's home and not a hotel, the place wasnt absolutely spotless, but it was clean and homey. It might not be to everybody's taste to share a bathroom with a family though.

"버스터미널과 곤돌라 탑승장에서 조금떨어져 있지만 걸어가기에 큰 무리가 없었으며 렘페스트레켄 전망대로 걸어올라가는(또는 곤돌라에서 내려올 때) 들머리에서 아주 가깝다. 시설이 전체적으로 좀 낡은 듯 했으나 주인이 같은 건물에 살면서 틈틈히 관리를 하는듯 화장실과 주방이 깨끗하게 유지 되고 있었다."

숙소에 간판이 붙어 있지 않아서 처음 찾아가는데 헷갈렸으며 체크인 과정에서 주인이 노르웨이어로 메시지를 보내 번역기를 돌린 후에야 원활하게 체크인을 할 수 있었다.

"Our room faced the water. Great view. The room is spacious and comfortable. We stayed in a room before we rented the full house with a group of friends. Despite it being 5 rooms, sharing one bathroom, it never felt crowded. Good value for an otherwise expensive travel destination. The bus stop is right by the house and there was always available public parking."

While advertised as a B&B it is not like the many B&Bs we have visited over the years where you have access to a lounge and receive a full breakfast. The accommodations are really a bedroom and bathroom with a small eating area on the bottom floor of a row house unit. There was a patio outdoors which was nice but overall the space was small and the breakfast was a continental breakfast you made yourself.

"Incredibly beautiful lodge close to the lake and in a very secluded location. The road is long and bumpy to get there, but that just adds to the charm! Rooms and facilities are lovely and comfortable. And staff is incredibile!"

"The host was very kind. The property was very cleaned. I had to leave super early to the airport, the owner got up so early to prepare food for me to eat on the way to the airport. He was super kind."

It is a bit out of the town but ok if you have a car. If there are many guests you will have to queue to use the shower room and toilet as it is a shared Barth room property.

Cramped room area and narrow balcony + no cereal bowl . Water ran cold in the showers.

"Rooms are very comfortable and warm despite the cold climate in the mountains. Food was excellent and restorative. We arived at night and left early so we did not have time to actually appreciate the hotel."

"Location is ok, 10 minutes walk to Somerset MRT station. Cleanness was ok, not spotted but acceptable. Air conditioning worked well. As the cheapest private room with private bathroom in the whole city this place is worth its price. Good contact with owner via whatsapp. I would come back."

The owner does not treat this place like a hotel, so for example, toilet paper is replaced by the guests themselves.

"아침 저녁 식사는 너무 맛있었습니다. 라울 아저씨에게 부탁하면 집에 있는 오래된 교회 설명을 해주십니다. 시간이 지나 정확하진 않지만 9세기에 지어진 교회라고 하셨던 거 같습니다. 밥을 먹는 곳도 굉장히 오래전에 지어진 건축물로 멋있습니다. 숙소에 요청하면 체크아웃날 택시도 잡아주십니다. (가격이 합리적입니다, 우쉬굴리랑 찰라디 빙하까지 가주셨어요!)"

화장실이 하나라서 조금 아쉬웠지만 뜨거운 물은 잘 나왔습니다. 위치가... 라울 아저씨가 짧은 길로 오라고 사진을 보내주시지만 길이 굉장히 험하고 다듬어지지 않은 길입니다. 혹시나 혼자라면 맵스미가 안내해주는데로 가는 것이 좋을 것 같습니다.

"È una struttura accogliente, familiare. Non ha nulla del grande albergo ma è come una casa. Pulitissima, semplice, con un bel parcheggio protetto. In un lungo viaggio è una sosta-relax"
