Hostal Sucre

"I had a very pleasant stay at this hostel in Sucre and was extremely satisfied overall. The place is clean, well maintained, and very comfortable. The rooms are quiet and offer a good night’s sleep, which is especially important after exploring the city. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always willing to assist with any questions or recommendations. The location is also very convenient – close to the city center, restaurants, and main attractions, yet still calm and relaxing. The atmosphere is welcoming and safe, making it a great choice for both solo travelers and longer stays. I would definitely stay here again and can highly recommend this hostel to anyone visiting Sucre."

"Right in the middle of the historical Sucre centre, but on a quieter street. Spacious and clean room, lots of blankets for colder nights, hot showers. Reception staff very responsive - they booked me a taxi from the airport, excellent Whatsapp communication, very friendly and helpful throughout my short stay - helped me book a collective taxi to go to Potosi the next day for a very reasonable rate. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Wish I could have stayed longer to explore Sucre more!"

"Lots of stairs, and could be tricky with luggage (but staff did help me). Breakfast could be better - fairly basic. You can ask for eggs (which I didn't know on the first day)."

"The location of Hostal Sucre is superb. It is one block from the city center and Plaza de Armas where most of the historical buildings are located. The hotel has an authentic Spanish charm to it, which reminded me of my home town in Spain. The breakfast was very good with fresh fruits, bread options, jam, cereal, a variety of hot and cold beverages, and the freshly prepared scrambled eggs. The staff is very accommodating as I was mistakenly given a room on the first floor. They corrected the issue within hours and gave me a quiet, comfortable room on the second floor. Every staff member I met were friendly and customer service focused."

"Regarding items I didn't like: 1) The pillows are old! They need to be replaced. These pillows were from both rooms I experienced. They were flat, hard, and simply had no support for your neck. 2) Communication was a bit delayed prior to my arrival. I was trying to inform the hotel of my delayed, overnight arrival, but no one responded to my messages. Upon arrival, the person that checked me in had no idea what was happening and eventually gave me the wrong, promised room."
