Located on Malolo Island and boasting a 200 metre private beach, Funky Fish Beach & Surf Resort features a swimming pool, games room and nightly entertainment. Accommodation includes beach bungalows, private rooms and dormitory rooms. All offer shared or private bathroom facilities with solar-heated showers. Free towels, bed linen and toiletries are provided daily. Malolo Island Surf Resort is a 10-minute boat ride from surfing at the famous Cloudbreak and Wilkes Passage. It is also 10 minutes’ boat ride from Musket Cove Marina and Malolo Lailai Island. Surfing, diving tours and day trips can be booked at the tour desk. The beachfront restaurant EPIC serves fresh seafood, Fijian and European dishes. Also located on the beachfront, you will find Break Bar, The Senibua Spa and Dories Closet Boutique. Nightly entertainment includes karaoke and Fijian dancing. Snorkeling gear and handline fishing off the reef is free, while kayaks, stand up paddle boards, and motorized water sports can be arranged at additional cost.

"Could not recommend funky fish enough. The best location, staff and the food was amazing. The best seafood we’ve ever had. We stayed in the funky huts and they were perfect, enough breeze to keep cool."

"I simply want to say that the setting is idyllic. The little houses are perfect for two people, with an incredible setting."
"I wouldn't say that we didn't like it, far from it, but the staff, and one person in particular whom I won't name, disappointed us. Their attitude and behaviour towards us was anything but respectful. Having to ask for our engagement photos every day, having to ask and ask again for activities without necessarily being informed is not normal. So the staff were very pleasant, except for this one person. I don't want to single anyone else out, that would be a shame. It just leaves a bad impression, especially when you are greeted in a rude and aggressive manner, all because we are not perfectly bilingual. It's not worthy of someone in a position of responsibility, and it's certainly not the way to treat customers."

"Not too much to do i(except lie by the pool) you’re not going out on a boat to surf or snorkel. There was a strong southerly for a couple of days that was noisy."
"Rustic and lovely location for a surfing getaway. Staff were great and arranged daily surfing excursions. Hike was also brilliant. Cabins were basic but clean and very comfortable."

"My partner and I stayed at Funky Fish primarily so I could surf and she could relax and snorkel. The value for money and location is excellent for a chill, rustic, reasonably priced place to stay with all meals included on a nice semi-isolated beach. The staff are excellent, very friendly and accomodating and even hosted us and other guests for an impromptu Kava ceremony with a bunch of locals too. For surfing its ideal and has boats that will take you 20mins to the reef breaks such as Cloudbreak, Restaurants, Nomotu lefts, swimming pools etc. The snorkelling / reef life nearby is amazing too. I would highly recommend for people wanting more budget, friendly and convenient place to stay as opposed to a fancy resort."
