Every corner feels thoughtfully preserved, and it’s clear a lot of care has gone into maintaining its authenticity. Dominica and Philippe were exceptional hosts: warm, attentive, and welcoming from the moment we arrived. They went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable, offering helpful suggestions and making us feel completely at home. It was a perfect blend of hospitality and timeless charm."

"A wonderfully authentic 17th century chateau which has been lovingly restored by Philip and Dominica. Super views and a cooling breeze from high above the village. We were made to feel so welcome and they were happy to arrange taxis and table bookings for us. As guests we enjoyed a communal breakfast with just two other couples of fresh croissant, bread, fruit and eggs from the chateau’s hens. The small pool has the most amazing views over the valley and we spent a truly relaxing afternoon there. Nothing was too much trouble for this special couple and we absolutely recommend a stay here."

They beautifully restored the chateau and filled it with art and furnishings with character, personality and a sense of place. delicious breakfasts featured freshly pressed juice, homemade jams and eggs from the resident chicken."

"Nuestra estancia cumplió plenamente con nuestras expectativas. Buscabamos pasar unos dias tranquilos y relajados, y desde el primer momento nos sentimos muy bien acogidos. El desayuno fue delicioso, y como hacia muchisimo frio, pasamos las tardes junto a la chimenea disfrutando de cenas caseras. Las recomendaciones de Dominica sobre lugares para visitar en la zona fueran perfectas. Fue como volver atrás en el tiempo, sin duda, volveremos. ¡A nuestro perro también le encantó! "A lovely traditional Alsace house with courtyard garden and secure off-street/under-cover parking. The house has been in the owner's family for many years and has a lovely old-charm feel to it, with a nice mix of modern and old. The house was beautifully prepared, spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable. Whilst our host Claude was unable to meet us himself, he ensured that a friend and neighbour was available an hour or so after we arrived to make sure that we were happy and had everything we needed. Communication was great and we very much enjoyed our stay here. The house is on a corner of the main square, looking across to the Town Hall, but Epfig is a only a small village and it was nice to be able to open our windows and feel like a local for a day or two! The church is just a few steps away from the house and the bells do strike on each quarter hour (6am to 10pm), but we really didn't find it a problem at all - it was all part of the atmosphere!"
