"Kate is such a wonderful host, and the house is very calm and peaceful. Kate has done a wonderful job of creating an oasis of a garden, which was a delight to enjoy at the end of a long day of travel. Additionally, the breakfast is wonderful with delightful fresh croissants that she goes to pick up herself. We couldn't have felt more welcomed, and will surely be back. Thank you Kate!"

"Dog friendly, quiet location and off road parking . Travelling with our elderly Spaniel we were all made very welcome. The room on the ground floor with en suite shower room had everything we needed. Access to tea making facilities was really appreciated. Kate recommended a local restaurant a short drive away for our evening meal. After a great night's sleep in a really comfy bed we had a good continental breakfast before our departure. Charroux is an interesting historic small town"

"A modern room, tastefully decorated and presented, and in good working order. The rooms were very comfortable for our overnight stay, and we would have happily stayed there for longer!! We had an overnight stop over before a week stay on the south coast, so this was a fabulous location to explore the Var district which is full of beautiful quaint villages and landscapes. An easy two hour journey from Marseille airport, with many places of interests to visit en route. We had a fabulous dinner here after we arrived. The hosts were just lovely and kind. We absolutely recommend this restaurant and overnight stay in a peaceful friendly French village near the south coast. We would definitely book again."

"The proximity to the university and the silence during the night"

"Even though a little distanced from Nice old town (about 30 min brisk walk, or with a tram from close by; close also to the Riquier train station), the location was quite good, as it was within walking distance to Mont-Boron and from there on to Villefrance-sur-Mer. Also the location was close by a Tour de France (2020) route. Both of these exercises, walking and cycling, do involve significant height differences, so good fun to be had but be warned. The walk to the city center is flatter. Fenced parking a nice option, even though it was left unused on this trip. A one room apartment with sofa bed, quite decent for sleeping, and the small balcony a big plus. Good bakeries close by too, and grocery stores. I'd choose this over a hotel room any time, but then again, I also don't mind at all a bit of self-help on the daily routines."
