"Lovely attractive and characterful converted school buildling with tall ceilings, large windows, tastefully decorated and refurbished. The town of Bergues is lovely and the apartment was well-located to walk into town, visit the market, walk by the river, go to the local restaurant etc. We were just there for one night on our way from Calais to Holland/Germany and would definitely return. Friendly and helpful host who met us to provide the keys. It is well-placed for those arriving in Calais or Dunkirk. Free parking on site."

"The fact that it was self contained and everything was there that we needed to eat, drink and sleep. Robin was lovely and told/showed us what we needed to know. The local area is so pretty and people very friendly. There is a Carrefour about 10 minutes away. We stopped for a drink in Le Paddock and was made to feel welcome. The car park is located at the back of the property in a safe gated courtyard."

"This is a really nice apartment in a great town - we thoroughly enjoyed our time in Bergues. The apartment is nicely decorated and unusually well equipped - we had everything we needed for a short stay and found it easy to prepare food in the kitchen. It's on the ground floor, so no stairs to navigate and it feels very secure with window catches and shutters. The location is great, within easy walking distance of the centre and on a quiet street."

"We would have appreciated having some information provided ahead of our arrival in Bergues. We agreed a meeting time with the host but arrived an hour early (it's hard to plan precisely when driving long distances), so asked for some information on where we could park. A simple paragraph of information setting out the main options for the town was all that was needed - it isn't entirely straightforward to work out on first arrival. Unfortunately this wasn't forthcoming and our host seemed irritated by the question. For future visitors, the answer is that there is private parking at the apartment but you need a fob to open the gate so will need to wait for your check in time to arrive. There is free parking on the street at the front of the building and metered parking a little further along, though some areas are limited to 30 minutes. Bergues has a one way system, so you need to be aware of that when driving around looking for a space."

"Leuke ligging, midden in een mooie stad en toch heel stil en je kan veilig parkeren op de binnenplaats. Alles is in het appartement aanwezig en ideaal dat op het gelijkvloers is. Mooie badkamer en praktische keuken. Het is niet groot maar toch veel ruimte.Rolluiken dat elektrisch sluiten. Goede ontvangst tv en WiFi. En supervriendelijke eigenaars Eric en Robin."
