Located 500 metres from the city centre and from the train station, ibis Gap Centre is a 24-hour reception hotel which features a regional restaurant, a bar and a terrace. "Apparently I asked for a quiet room, but being next door to the kitchen with a juicer grinding from early in the morning was definitely not quiet. The hotel wasn’t easy to find as we arrived on bicycles in torrential rain & most hotels appeared to be part of the same chain, I headed for the one in the advert then had to cycle back up the road to the actual hotel. We didn’t come into contact with any staff except someone operating the juicer in the morning. Nice breakfast, although we were charged for this after the initial booking without asking for it which was a little sneaky."

"The location was perfect. The main restaurant and bar are located on the square, we stayed in a more modern build on the next street. As a family we were provided with two adjoining rooms via the balcony. We found this very considerate, as we had not requested it. Everyone slept well and there were good shower facilities. Marville is full of incredible history and the owner shared her interest with me. She has written the local guidebook to the area and it is well worth looking at to uncover many hidden treasures."
