"We felt very safe a good place. Very quiet and comfortable. There was everything what we need. Electricity is not included. The owner was always available. There is only a small shop. A supermarket is 10min. away with the bus/car. Nice beach 20min. walking."

"The house itself very lovely - a bit far out and quiet for us but it was a last minute booking which we were glad they could help. The owners live in apartment upstairs and were on hand anytime we had a problem which were minor as not had guests for a while. 4 decent size bedrooms 2 with ensuite then separate bathroom for the other 2 bedrooms"

"The happy corner Lodge probably was the best accommodation I had during my solo travel in Gambia. The food was outstanding, especially the chicken :) But the best part was the hospitality and the tour guide of Mbaye. He truly is the most chilled out Gambian guy ever and the tour he fixed to the stone circles and the river was outstanding. We saw hippos, chimps and crocodiles all in 1 day. I truly think that this side of Gambia, so the area surrounding Janjanbureh, is the real Gambia which everyone should see once in their lifetime."
