"Laya Waves is in the most beautiful location. It’s right on a stunning beach. It’s a small hotel which has a lovely feel to it. The staff were friendly and helpful. They tried to teach us some Sri Lankan ! The views from the balcony are amazing. There’s lots of nice restaurants close by which did amazing seafood. Just turn right out of the hotel and keep walking. There’s an ATM nearby and a little mini market. We loved the street dogs that visited, especially Hopper who only had 3 working legs !"

"We didn’t have any complaints about the hotel- it was what we expected! The only things I would mention are the breakfast could be improved, the towels were very old and scruffy as was the cushions for the sun loungers. The bathroom looked like it had been partly updated except for the shower which really needed replacing. We did have hot water though!"

"Let me tell you, it was awesome! The room was super cosy and had everything I needed. The staff were really cool and helpful, making us feel right at home. Plus, the location was spot-on. All in all, We had a great time and can't wait to go back!"

"Staff was very friendly and the breakfast was very good. We ordered some meals for our dinner selecting from the alacarte menu. It was so delisious and portion also great that we didnt expect. Thanks to the cheff and all the supportive staff. I have no doubts in recomending the hotel for any body who wants to see pasikuda and around with great comforts."

"호스트 및 매니져, 직원이 매우친절함. 에어컨 작동 및 뜨거운물 잘 나옴. 바닷가를 보며 식사 할 수 있음. 숙소에서 바닷가로 바로 나갈 수 있는 계단이 있음. 터틀포인트와 도보 5분 거리로 매우 가까움."

"This little gem is right at the beach, at walking distance to the busstation and within the Dutch ford quarter is great! Destroyed by the tsunami but rebuild by the very friendly owner, it has a nice sitting area, a simple kitchen and the sound of the waves in your ears, very relaxing. I could borrow a bike and off I went! Thanks!"

"The family living there, is super friendly and makes you feel like home. They organize everything for you. The house is nicely located with a garden to hangout and couple of rooms. Super worth it for the money."

"We truly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful location. The atmosphere is incredibly peaceful with stunning misty forest views in the morning—perfect for those who love nature and tranquility. Even though Ella can be quite busy, this place felt like a quiet sanctuary away from the main noise. The family is wonderful and they serve a delicious breakfast every morning. The location offers excellent walking access to Little Adam’s Peak and the Nine Arch Bridge. Everything is within walking distance, including the town center (it’s a pleasant 20-minute walk along the road) and some great local dinner spots. We also enjoyed a trip to the waterfalls; you’ll need a ride for that, but it’s very easy to take the local buses. Highly recommended for a relaxing stay in Ella!"
