"When you pay 150€ per night and you see high ratings at internet you expect the room to be at least at average European standard. But it definitely isn’t. The place we stayed in (Rooster cabin) was the worst place we have ever been to. It looked as it hasn’t been renewed for 20 or more years. Old dirt everywhere. Everything in this apartment is random, crap and junk. Design is a nightmare. Nothing fits. Poor rooms with awful wallpapers and even worse carpets. No equipment in kitchen - no oven (although it was listed in Booking.com), no stove (just a tiny, portable one), no dishwasher. Dirty cups and glasses. 3 forks, 3 knives (we ask for replacement and they were replaced immediately). Electricity - old wires on the walls. The boiler in the bathroom was connected to an ungrounded extension cord nailed to the wall. It is dangerous!! Water - stinks with hydrogen sulfide (rotten eggs) so much that it’s hard to take a bath. Dozens flies everywhere - so disgusting flypapers are hanged everywhere. Positive aspect - new air conditioning in the room. Summing up - this place definitely shouldn’t be ranked so high and the owners shouldn’t charge this money for it. Although they seem to be very nice - I feel being cheated by them. I really cannot understand so many positive comments at internet about this place. I don’t know - maybe guests were in different rooms or comments have been posted by the people having no comparison to other places or being used to some soviet standards? I don’t care. This experience shows that apart of the positive comments, chosing such a place you should use some intuition as well. This time I didn’t… :/ And the last thing… change the name from “residence” to something else… shed, barn, hut… anything but not “residence”."
