"I had read the reviews and was aware that the nightclub next door might be an issue. This seems to only be on Friday and Saturday nights. When the nightclub is open it is LOUD until about 8am…but on the other nights it’s lovely and quiet! The pool looks over a derelict building but I was aware of this too from the pictures on other reviews. I just didn’t use the pool. The rooms are pretty basic but kept clean."

"There is a club right next door that blasts music from 8pm - 5am most nights (we stayed 10 nights and I think we had one night of no music) making it really hard to sleep, and woke us up throughout the night. The beds aren’t super comfy but it didn’t bother me too much. Our bed had a huge dip in one side and our friends had a rock hard bed and had to move rooms."

"The pool was awesome, rooms cleaned really well and it felt more homely then being at a hotel which I appreciate. Be aware there is an absolute towering abandoned building blocking the view of the ocean which I really feel for the owners on this one because Villa Casalet really is in such a beautiful spot."

"Quiet, good aircon, close to everything you need, easy to get taxis if you need. Pool was refreshing after a day on the beach. Rooms were kept clean. Great value for money."

"The monstrous building that overlooks the property is hard to get over. I would not mind if I knew about it from the property, however the fact that they hide it so much in their photos is deceptive. If you want great value for money but don’t mind an awful view this place is for you!"

"Pool was lovely & location is very close to all the restaurants. Bit of a hot walk to La Punta. They did clean the room dailywhich was a surprise, room was large we had one of the older rooms by the pool."

"The beach club noise makes the room Vibrate ALL night and the curtains don’t keep any light out - they keep the outside lights on all night - so pack your earplugs and eye patch - or avoid this place when the beach club goes off. Glad I got this room at special rates. Air con didn’t work that well."

"The location is right in the heart of zicatela close to great restaurants and a very short walk to the beach. the pool was very nice and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable, the shower was hot. I felt very safe and relaxed staying there."

"The first room they showed me was a bit dark, but they were able to move me to a brighter room which was very much appreciated! The room internet was a bit slow for working but I asked and they gave me a different one that worked better."

"The pictures are deceiving, they dont say that there are two buildings to the hotel, one that is more renovated and new, and the other side that is covered by ugly an abandoned building. If it weren't for that building, you'd be able to see the beach, but of course you have to chose the newer side ($$) of the building to get a higher up room to see the view of the sea and not a ugly abandoned dirty building. A little more honesty would be nice so people don't get deceived by the photos, the pool is also shaded by that big abandoned building. It's OK value for location if you're just going to sleep there."
