"We did not get a warning that it is not possible to drive to the property due to poor roads and the only way was to park and go by boat. Drove through the Nature reserve from SA. I was just asked if we were driving or coming from Maputo and i presumed i could follow maps on google. Property did message me but I did not see the message on app which did not help. When I did contact the property they never saw the message until after we had arrived."

"Food was average at best - everything was overcooked. Would have expected the food to be cooked better from a resort like this."

"Comfortable but relaxed and simple. Even when fully booked it’s not ‘busy’ but just the right number of people, and plenty of room for all guests to have their privacy and space. Very good size rooms."

"The room was amazing and the staff was friendly. Wide variety of wine to choose at the restaurant and good cocktails. Food was good. An amazing place overall."

"The transportation by boat to the lodge is very expensive, even if it is group transfer by boat. A better deal shall be provided by the lodge to make it more accessible from Maputo. I would personally go there more often."

"The location is really lovely because there aren’t a lot of houses or resorts close to it, so the beach is empty. The setting and layout of the lodge is lovely, although, be warned, there are lots and lots of stairs. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The food is nice and the staff are friendly. It has a nice, homely feel to it and there are lovely walks to go on."

"There are areas that are needing a bit of attention, the pool area being one and some of the bathrooms. We were a family with young adults, but it definitely attracts families with young kids, so be aware of that. Because it is located right next to the sea, there are strong currents and it can be a bit windy."
