"The Fretheim Hotel is ideally situated across the road from the train station, the ferry wharf and the fjord. It is set back so there is no noise from either. The view over the fjord and mountains is breathtaking. We ate dinner at the hotel where the food was excellent. Perfectly cooked steak and a nice selection of sides (and drinks). The room was very comfortable and the hotel has a nice feel about it. The staff were very helpful and made our stay really comfortable."
"Our room was in the old section of the hotel which is very comfortable and welcoming. However, the shower sits over an old style bath which could be treacherous. Slippery and very high sided so getting in and out of the shower requires some gymnastics."
