"I really liked the friendly staff at Avalon House. They were humble, polite, and very helpful. They also gave me great advice about beautiful places to visit around Kathmandu. If you’re looking for a place to stay, need help with plane or bus tickets, or want a trekking related experience, they can arrange it all at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended!"

"Very comfortable wonderful lodge. It is an ‘institution’ in the safari sector of Nepal and deservedly so. The management (BC), staff and guides (Bhim in particular) are all incredible, nothing is too much trouble."

"My stay at this hotel was fantastic I was only here for one night but it was a night that I wish I could stay a few more nights! On my way out in the morning, the owner greeted me with a warm smile and we had some coffee together and talked about my experience and gave me some better advice than the plan I had made for my day, which I’m glad I listened to because I got a beautiful view of a mountain out of it! Friendly service and a respectful environment, the next time I come back up to this valley I’m looking forward to staying here. No issues with the language barrier, I am from America but was totally able to get around fine at this property, parking is no issue and it is close to plenty of restaurants although they have great cooking in-house as well!"
