"In my opinion, the best hotel on the island in terms of value for money. The most famous sandy beach, Matira Beach, is located close to the hotel (about a 10-minute walk)."

"There's no transport connection to the main town (Vaitape), so you'll have to rent a scooter if you want to go grocery shopping or grab dinner."

"The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The property is gorgeous, and we loved both our hotel room and the bungalow we stayed in over the water. All in all, an amazing stay! Also, great happy hour with strong drinks!"

"Thank you very much Giulia for your willingness and helpfulness in everything. The hotel is very friendly to everyone, even non-guests. Excellent restaurant by the beach. They know how to mix cocktails. The hotel provides transportation."

"Dogs are constantly bothering the hotel and it's annoying - at breakfast, on the beach they occupy the sun loungers, on which you then lie. Terribly poor breakfast - why warm carrots? pancakes tasteless mass. The internet in the room almost always didn't work, weak signal. Renovation is necessary, the wood is slowly reaching its end of life and it doesn't look good. The hotel doesn't rent motorboats on holidays."

"The place is great, the water is very shallow which is kid friendly. You can take the kayak and SUP for free. In the onwater bungalow has a glass teatable which can open and feed the fish directly inside. Really wonderful experience. Staffs are super friendly."

"We had a wonderful stay at Opoa Beach Hotel. The hotel is very clean and set in an exceptionally beautiful location, right by the water. It is located about a 50-minute drive from both the airport and Uturoa, but the journey itself is incredibly scenic and picturesque — you honestly don’t feel the time passing at all. The bungalows are spotless, charming, and extremely comfortable, each with a lovely veranda and a relaxing hammock, perfect for unwinding. The restaurant is excellent, with outstanding food of very high quality. The staff were truly professional, friendly, and always ready to help with anything we needed, making us feel very well taken care of throughout our stay. We recommend this hotel very warmly and would happily return."

"EVERYTHING :) It is a bit on the expensive side, but still far from OWB prices. And basically you get one of the most wonderful beaches and snorkel-spots you can imagine. Rooms are tidy, wonderful, and it indeed feels like a Garden of Eden, or a Village. We walked by foot from the ferry - 2 minutes walk on the shore. Shops, foodtrucks nearby - the restaurant is second-to-none. Stuff are not just friendly, but incredibly funny, in a good way. We celebrated my birthday night here - I will never ever forget it :)"

"We were meet by the owner Michel and his staff. All the staff were very accommodating and pleasant they made us all feel at home. The staff did their very best to ensure we enjoyed our stay, they were very attentive. The property was perfect for me and my whanau (family) we live near the ocean in NZ. We enjoy being near the ocean and forest. A great opportunity for all to rejuvenate mind and body. We were all able to relax and enjoy the private beach. We were very grateful and blessed for their assistance with the option of a late check-out and help with transport to Uturoa Airport. The accommodation was very comfortable, clean and spacious. The Kitchen/pantry storage and dining area's were clean perfect for our needs. We will be back. Tau Ke!!"
