"The hotel has a great vibe, run by people who care about the environment. Plant based breakfast were well thought out and delicious. The beach is a stones throw, Ubers on tap and San Juan just a great place to spend some days."

"I really enjoy the botanical feel in warm countries. The plants help to keep the area shaded and cool. The room was very large with plenty of space for 2 people. The breakfast was excellent and a good variety of sweet and savoury throughout our stay."

"The sliding door doesn’t really close (no seal). It’s pretty common in tropical countries for air flow, but the downside is bites from mosquitoes."

"The most amazing place with incredible staff. We booked one night and ended up staying for a few more. Great inside and outside facilities. Photos don't do it justice. Yoga and breakfast definitely make this place special along with friendly staff who are always patient and helpful. Separate shout-out to chef Victor and manager Gabriella who made our stay really amazing. Great location two blocks from the beach, car rental not far from it and close by to all the food options."

"Mosquitoes in the room. Where they were coming from is a mystery and it was really minor considering all the positives. They also said that they will be addressing this and they don't have that issue in other rooms."

"The staff was super nice, they helped us find some great places and beaches for us to visit. Very peaceful place with the beach just around the corner. The breakfast was spectacular. The chef prepared us some vegan dishes which looked better than in any Michelin restaurant ."

"We definitely enjoyed our stay! Especially the connection to the nature - chilling at the terrace in the presence of small green lizards, falling asleep with sounds of coquís (in the first night we thought it was a parrot!), cozy common areas with all the flowers- La Botanica is anything but an ordinary, dull and monotone hotel, it is a real hidden gem. We loved the outdoor shower, coffee and water in the lobby, friendly stuff and primarily the LOCATION! It’s just 150 meters to the beach, 10 minutes to the airport by taking UBER and it’s a real pleasure to go for a morning run just by leaving the house and run! No obstacles, no crossing any traffic, just join another runners on the street."

"What an oasis! The hotel has only about 8 rooms and once you enter the front door, you feel like in a different world with plants, flowers, smells, … They offer yoga every morning and Ayurvedic breakfast (it was included) which is cooked freshly and beautifully presented. At night you come back from the city and feel like in a jungle, with the sounds from Coqui frogs, pretty lights in the trees, perfect to calm down and relax. We had a great outdoor shower, everything was very very clean and well maintained (not only our apartment/ balcony but the whole hotel). Our apartment could only be reached via a spiral staircase, a bit challenging with a suitcase, but the lady at the reception immediately helped us both at checkin and checkout - she just carried it up/down for us. The stay was an amazing experience in itself - we would come back!"
