"They are clearly short of staff and that impacts on everything as the service is not 5 Star however the few staff they have are friendly , helpful and doing their best . Breakfast buffet is good but not 5 star more like 3 star ."

"This place is old. Not old in the sense of peeling paint on the walls and leaky pipes, but in the sense of a place with real history. Staying here, even just for one night and a dinner in the beautiful restaurant, is a true experience. It doesn't matter that the rooms are converted from former convent cells and therefore not very spacious. A special mention goes to the breakfast, which is delicious, with incredible homemade jams. A must-see in Évora."

"Be careful with the GPS when leaving, if you use the internal parking. It took us onto a very narrow road, and only thanks to the fact that our rental car was small and that a guy helped us were we able to get out. Going back to the starting point would have been a nightmare, and with a slightly larger car... we would probably still be there!"
