"In our room there were hundeerda of mosquitos, even with the windows closed. It was a real nightmare"

"We had a wonderful stay! The hotel is in a convenient location near the airport, which made our travel really easy. The breakfast was delicious with a good variety. The outdoor area was a nice place to relax, and to top it off, we got a upgrade for a small fee. The staff were friendly and attentive, excellent service all around."

"The hotel manageress, Delfina, was very helpful, friendly and great to speak to. She set the standard for her staff to follow. Rooms facing inward to the garden and pool are the best. Handy for the airport and the beach is literally across the road. We were warned about the island being "cash" only" but the hotel takes cards and there is an ATM on the hotel property which worked with a UK debit card. The hotel organised car hire for us which went smoothly. Shame you cannot say that about the roads!"

"A bit concerned when the water went off on our first morning , as it did most days but it was soon restore so no real problem. Menu for food and drink required a QR code reader. I would have preferred a written menu but I then realised the QR reader helped the waiters who had limited English as they could see the Portuguese translation."

"The place was really quiet though we stayed Sunday night so that might have been why. Breakfast truly was delicious, and the service was excellent. There was a complementary shuttle to the airport which was appreciated too."

"The Booking.com page suggests that there are wellness services available, like a massage, though this is not the case, there is no spa/wellness service. 50% of my decision to stay here was based on the idea I would have a massage in the morning, which turned out not to be the case, so that was most disappointing."
