Little Monkey Camp

"This is an ongoing project for the guys running Little Monkey. They have created a good stooping point for travellers around 3km from the main village and just a couple of minutes walk to the NP entrance. Staff were friendly, attentive and helpful throughout. Location is a bit remote if you don't have your own transport so best to get the number of a local boda boda. Food was very tasty but a bit overpriced, as was beer. Changes ahead with a new restaurant building coming early next year. All in all a nice stay for a couple of nights. The room was spacious, WiFi was strong, bedside lights, mosquito net. Open air shower after requesting hot water to be boiled worked. The room could do with some basic interior touches to make it feel less spartan but all in all it was a warm welcome and a good stay."

"Open toilet to the room may challenge many guests. Best to knock a window above the toilet and enclose the loo with a door and ceiling."

"Peter and his staff were lovely and so very helpful. Peter tersely went out if his way to help me with a permit for the Chimpanzee tour. They support the local human wildlife coexistence activists who come and put on a beautiful performance. The food was DELICIOUS. I had dinner by the fire. Great service. Lovely setting and grounds."

"Didn't manage to get the hot water to come through. It may have in time but I didn't like wasting water. Was not in desperate need of a shower anyway at that time. Minor inconvenience"

"The camp is conveniently located near the entrance to the park, the staff is very welcoming, the garden is really nice. We stayed in the room which was clean and big."

"There were problems with the water (no water, only cold water). The room was overpeiced for what was offered, the food was quite pricey, too."

"Regentado por una pareja joven, este pequeño hotel de 2 habitaciones, es sencillo pero encantador. La habitación no tiene más que lo mínimo, pero la cama es cómoda y la mosquitera está nueva. La ducha es exterior y funciona bien. Tienen energía solar y han puesto wifi por todo el recinto. Nos sirvieron la cena junto a una hoguera, con comida casera de calidad."

"Excellent location with only a 5 minute drive to chimpanzee trekking. The vegetarian menu is the best I’ve had in Uganda and the staff are so friendly and welcoming. Peter, the owner, went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable. The WiFi is strong throughout the camp. The outdoor shower is amazing after trekking in the forest with good pressure and hot water. Dinner by the campfire is an extra treat! I could stay here forever!"
