What stood out the most was its exceptional value, offering all the essentials for a short stay: a well-equipped kitchen, bathroom amenities (including a hairdryer), and convenient proximity to tourist attractions.The easy access to public transportation added to the overall positive experience"

"Regarding the Barefoot Hostel, the only inconvenience we encountered was the check-in time at 3:00 PM and the check-out time at 11:00 AM. However, this was mitigated by the option to leave our luggage there while taking a walk around the city"

"Location was perfectly central to Ottawa, which was convenient for a person visiting for the first time. I liked the rule of no shoes indoors, which made it feel homely and cozy. The dining area, plentiful silverware, and the large fridge felt impressive, especially on nights where I was the lone tenant. This was the most I felt like I was in a personal space rather than renting a room."

"I would have liked the option to ask staff to not come into my room for cleaning. They ended up moving a lot of my stuff around without my knowledge, which was uncomfortable and also made me worry that my belongings were lost. I would have loved to know which days I could expect other guests. I didn't know that our bath towels were provided inside the closet, so I used a hand towel from the bathroom for my shower the first night. It might be worth having the closet door open for guests when they arrive so they will see what is available."
