"Because of the heat outside, our room was very hot at night and the provided ventilator did not help much. Also, upon check-out, we were billed double for the room which had been pre-paid. While that can happen, it took the only available staff to serve breakfast and man the reception very long to figure out the invoicing & reimbursement. These things happen and it was resolved, but clearly many smaller hotels suffer from understaffing."

"the recently new owner has really upgraded what was a tired hotel. the situation is incomparable, as are the views of the lake, the Savoy Alps, the beautiful lake steamers calling at the jetty ….The staff are great, the rooms neat and clean, loads of sitting out or in areas, abundant trees for shade"
