The Cloud Forest Lodge - offers the perfect combination between isolating yourself in nature and staying close to all Monteverde´s facilities. We are located within the Bellbird Biological Corridor, two kilometers from the main town and in the middle between the Monteverde Reserve and the Santa Elena Reserve. We preserve our biodiversity with dedication since we believe that people deserve to enjoy the nature that surrounds us. We are invested in maintaining the essence of Monteverde over time. We do not have luxurious rooms. Instead, our space is ideal for relaxation and natural contemplation. We share a rustic lodge that breathes the forest. We aim to offer an unforgettable experience by focusing on the openness, commitment, and safety of our services. Our staff will be pleased to attend to the concerns and preferences of each visitor.

"Nice quiet area, beautiful garden en view from the restaurant. Delicious food, better than expected and exceeded our expectations. We had dinner two nights before at the four season what we did not like. Boena was a lot better!!"

"Not a deal breaker but a towel dryer/heater would help to reuse the towels. If you shower mowing and evenings the towel remains damp."

"Large and clean rooms with exceptionally large bathroom. The restaurant balcony has a superb vista, perfect for sunset and for watching the hummingbirds. The ecological ethos of the resort is compelling. Fabulous restaurant staff."

"We had a lovely two bedroom villa which was very well equipped. It was nice after spending many nights in hotel room. Very helpful staff who organised transport to the park and gave us details of a local company delivering food . There is a lovely trail within the property and it is walking distance from a gorgeous reserve where you can walk and then enjoy a drink on their terrace. Very special place."

"Loved the bird singing and surrounding forest, the balcony and the garden were nice too. The room was perfect for me and had everything necessary. The walk to the village and to the start of all hikes is about 15-20 mins. I like walking so for me it wasn’t a problem, rather an advantage. If you are coming back at night by walking - don’t forget the torch:) Sebastian and his wife are very helpful and always patiently and kindly answered all my questions ( and I had a lot of questions! 😝) Book your tours with the owner - you will not regret! I especially loved the mangrove tour and the night live tour."

"The place is 3 minutes walking to the beach, and the location is simply perfect if you are looking for few days of relax in Manzanillo. The bungalow is cute and comfy with a little space outside to enjoy the nature+the pool is big enough to enjoy the moment. We had an issue with the toilette in the morning but the staff was attentive and they promptly fixed"
