"We traveled by motorcycle and stayed at this hotel – everything was absolutely perfect. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and the atmosphere was very welcoming. We especially appreciated the safe parking and the peaceful surroundings, which made for a relaxing stay after a long ride. "The receptionst knew only about the medina in Fez (apparently), b/c even after using her phone to do google searches she wasn't able to answer our questions about where we could find decent architectural building(not modern, but traditional) We had read on Lonely Planet about the old jewish cartier, with building about 500 years old but the had no idea. Doing some research ourselves, it turns out that that area was.... on the same street with the hotel's name as well: Merinides. Not that it was much to look at, mind you, after all :)"

Despite being a guest at the hotel, I was not allowed to swim because, as a Moroccan, he assumed I was only there for a drink or a meal. It's disappointing that he didn't expect someone like me to be a guest. I would suggest that the hotel ensures their staff are aware of who is staying in the hotel to avoid such misunderstandings in the future.""
