"Perfectly located right in middle of the city, and not loud at all even though I was a bit sceptic about all Bars and club which is not so far. Hause is clean and has access to all you need if you cook. Bett was hard but I slept very good on it. WiFi work super well. Absolutely recommend if you stay few days in Toliara and want to feel a bit like Home."

"Nice and quite. Secluded yet very close to other businesses and banks. The manager was very friendly and attentive. 10 STARS. The only issue was water pressure. But I was already expecting that anywhere in the third world country, so I was ok with showering with buckets and a jug, as well as flushing with a bucket. Just don't forget to refill the bucket and don't forget to monitor it so you don't flood the bathroom."

"A bbq pit/grill would have been nice by the patio. Not that I expected to see one, but I just thought it would give the place an extra 10 stars."

"Tiene de todo y está muy limpio . Teniendo en cuenta los alojamientos que hay , este es mejor que muchos de los que hemos estado en Europa y pagando 4 veces más"

"El ruido . Soy consciente de que no es culpa del alojamiento pero se dormía uno con la música de los bares y a las 4 de la mañana la ponían aún más fuerte con lo que apenas hemos dormido ningún día ."

"We wanted self catering for dietary reasons and were not disappointed. Breakfast provided was a bonus. Plenty of space to relax. Pretty garden with deckchairs. 50m to the beach. Owner super attentive."

"Beautiful hotel in Anakao, which can be reached by the Anakao Express (the boat takes you directly to the hotel). The rooms are simple, but given that you spend all the time on the beach, they are sufficient. Rooms are spacious and beds have mosquito nets. The hotel is accompanied by a restaurant serving Malagasy/Italian cuisine, with fair prices and very nice staff. The hotel can organize a tour to Nosy Ve (half-day, including coral reef snorkeling) and to Tsimanampetsotsa National Park. Anakao is a fisherman village with friendly people, and you can observe the bustle while having privacy at the beach next to the hotel (which is rare in Madagascar). Highly recommended!"

"Everything and everyone at Kokoa Sands exceeded our expectations! After a warm welcome by Jean Michel and Perle, we've been made comfortable with the facilities and the beach area. The beach is simply a paradise on its own, just wow! You can relax and enjoy the splendid colours of the ocean or go for a beautiful beach walk. The food menu at Kokoa changes every day, and the cook...absolutely phenomenal. Forget everything you have tried so far in Madagascar and enjoy the cuisine at K. Sands. Our bungalow was well equipped and beautifully decorated, wild, wodden, and perfectly matching our taste. Jean Michel was always around and looked for our wellbeing. We appreciate the long chats, the stories about Kokoa Sands, and the engagement in the local community. The place is a paradise, but the owners make the overall experience just unforgettable. "The location directly on the beach is fabulous, stunning sunsets, clean pool, lovely garden and beautiful house . The staff was very friendly and helpful, also with excursions."

"The staff was very kind and helpful in all ways. The whole facility is safe with 24h security person on watch. The room is clean, and has hot running water with shower and a very useful little bidet shower, and electricity for most of the day, (i.e. until approx 22h and from early morning, with help of the private power plant). That is good for Madagascar standard, however Europeans should be prepared for the conditions there. There is well-equipped kitchen corner with a fridge in the room. We enjoyed coffee on the private balcony overlooking the pool. Location is quiet and good for sleeping, only on one weekend night there was a party in a neighbour house until late, but we did not object as it was an opportunity to hear some traditional local music."
