"We arrived in night and our room keys were mixed and new room had less beds than we needed, so we did small escape room style searching for our intended room keys and we did found them at reception locker. It was interesting experience, just a bit tiring at night."

"I loved everything! The hotel is in a great location ! The view is very beautiful, the hallway is beautiful. It's clear they have taste and a penchant for beauty! The view from the terrace is also very impressive! Friendly staff, which is also very important"

"We might want to add slippers, as we weren't warned about the tiled floor and it's still cold in winter! We didn't have a change of shoes with us, as we were counting on slippers! But there weren't any."

"The location is excellent — everything is easily accessible. Breakfast is served on the rooftop terrace, offering a wonderful view of the city, which makes the morning especially enjoyable. The price is also quite reasonable for what you get."

"If you want to flee the tourist crowds Kalkara is a perfect spot. It was so quiet and peaceful. The reception is only open in the morning but check in went fine. Normal Maltese life going on. Some simple restaurants for ex lunch close by even a small beach on the other side of the hill. The room was very spacious. Fairly new renovation. The breakfast room on the top floor was beautiful start of the day. A good option for a simpler stay outside of the crowds."

"We booked late so we got the simpler room on the first floor. It was spacious but quite dark. I would have loved the upper ones with balcony. For 2 nights it was ok but the beds were old and though otherwise well cleaned room the drape in the showers was full of mold. It was great to experience a real Maltese town but if you like to do a lot of sightseeing it can feel a bit far away. I was travelling with my elderly mother and the walk to Birgu uphill to get into town was too long for her. We took a lot of Bolt taxi."

"The property is a renovated building which still has some of the original tiles in the bedrooms.Kalkara marina is only a very short walk away so it is an ideal place to stay if you have a boat in the marina. The staff were very friendly and informative. The breakfast room is on the top floor and has a terrace facing south with a very nice view of the bay and the old walls of Malta."
