With far-reaching views over Fish River Canyon just below, the private chalets at this property have rooftop windows. Each has an outdoor shower, and an outdoor pool is available. Located 8 metres from the canyon edge, the chalets at Fish River Lodge include a terrace, large windows and dry stone walls. They have a private bathroom with free toiletries. Beds can be placed outdoors for sleeping al fresco. Overlooking the canyon, the restaurant serves home-cooked cuisine, which can also be eaten outside. There is also an indoor bar. The surrounding Canyon National Park covers 45,000 hectares and offers hiking and birdwatching opportunities. Fish River Lodge can arrange guided walks, sunset drives or hikes along the base of the canyon, where native animals can often be seen. The lodge has its own airfield and can offer transfers on request.

"the access road is pretty rough, but otherwise the property is great. I was unhappy that the porter who took our bags to the room then stood there waiting for a tip, not in the Southern African tradition, but perhaps they dont want local guests? There was a mess at checkout as Booking.com had not processed the last minute payment, despite me having a confirmation email, took 45 minutes to sort out which, when driving 6 hours, is not ideal"

The Restaurant, Service & Kitchen Staff provides a excellent tasty Food Menus and a large south African Wine List. All empowered and maintained by a perfect and professional skilled Team.
