"The host was adorable, very helpful and warm. The bed was comfortable, the area was very cute and peaceful. The dining room was cosy and well decorated. Last but not least, the breakfast was varied and delicious, with fresh croissants!"

"The shared bathroom could use a renovation (very basic shower with a shower head up on the wall) and the windows in the room were old and should be changed for better isolation. Also, you absolutely need a car as it's a bit far from the bus stop."

"A lovely rural location just outside the city of Tilburg. The welcome was great and the whole atmosphere of the place was perfect for me to use as a base for exploring the area. Facilities were 1st class and very comfortable, breakfast was ample to see me through the day. I would have no hesitation in staying again or recommending to others - a much more natural environment than say a hotel."

"Nothing - with the possible thing being the lights in the room were a bit dim for finding things in my rucksack, but this was in no way detrimental to my stay"

"The female owner is really friendly and provided helpful hints where to have dinner nearby or where to go out for a walk. We got a map of the "Loonse en Drunense Duinen", a natural reserve which is worth a visit. At a Sunday or national holiday, however, it is recommendable to arrive up to 10 am because because both biker and liker are fond of these area. "Hoeve de Mertel" has a small shop where own products and cheese from local producers are sold."

"Our host Hannah-Laura was lovely and very helpful during our stay. We were only there for 2 nights as we visited Efteling and the drive was only 15-20 minutes to get there by car. The accommodation is a good size and our attic family room looked out over the fields and caravan park. The views reminded us of a Van Gogh painting. In the evenings the place was quiet and the attic room was the perfect place to just chill out and chat. It was warm and cosy and the breakfast room ample with all the facilities you'd expect from a self-catering experience. The local town had a supermarket called Plus about 10-15 minutes away by car."
